August Athletic Club of Columbus Wedding

We plan a lot of weddings here, but Angela and Cam’s August Athletic Club of Columbus wedding is one of my all-time favorites! Their photos are just incredible and going through them all was the best distraction throughout several workdays. Angela worked as a wedding planner herself, so I was anxious to make the day perfect for her! They are the loveliest humans and with Angela being a planner, the planning process was a breeze. I have to admit, I was a bit anxious on the wedding day though. She just became a good friend and knows the industry, so I wanted to make everything as perfect as she envisioned.

Getting Ready and Details

Angela also decided she would love to get dressed in the ballroom which gave me a bit of pause at first because it’s a big open room, but we closed the doors and made it private while her mom helped her get dressed. This made for the most gorgeous getting ready photos and the first look with her bridesmaids was so sweet!

Ceremony

They are members of ACC so their photos around the club captured their personalities and daily lives (albeit in slightly more dressy fashion). I love the the photos on the squash court and in Carmichaels photos literally took my breath away. After they took the pictures at ACC they made a stop at the Statehouse. I’ve never seen wedding photos at the Statehouse that I didn’t love.

Now, you can’t really see it in the photos, but this particularly wedding day was calling for some pretty heavy thunderstorms in the later afternoon. Thankfully their ceremony was earlier in the day so I knew we were okay there. That was a relief because they had an epic bubble exit and getaway car! Back at the Statehouse they got the photos as the sky was turning. They got back on the bus with SECONDS to spare before a complete downpour! We had umbrellas ready and helped the wedding party get inside without too much trouble!

Reception

For the reception, they envisioned the room being lit with lots of candles to highlight the beautiful head table florals and I think that’s just what it was! They also had their seating chart beautifully calligraphed on the hall mirrors. Angela and Cam had an impeccably choreographed first dance that they practiced on for weeks! It turned out perfectly and their guests loved the surprise.

Angela and Cam danced the night away with their family and friends and ended with an after party in The Booth to keep the party going! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness!
